The Ansmann Digi-Charger VARIO Pro (Ansmann Vario Pro) is a universal fast battery charger for most Li-Ion Pi-Po Digital Camera, Camcorder & Mobile Phone batteries and NiMH AA or AAA batteries. It also has a USB output connection for charging and powering USB devices and can be used as an emergency power source for USB devices which can be powered and charged from an inserted battery.
The Ansmann Vario Pro also has an LCD display to keep you informed of the charging process
No adapter plates are needed for this fast charger as adjustable contact pins allow most Lithium-Ion, Lithium-Polymer digital camera, camcorder and mobile phone battery packs to be charged as well as NiMH AAA or AA batteries.
The Ansmann Vario Pro comes complete with a World-Wide AC power adaptor With UK, Euro and US adapters as well as a 12 V DC adaptor for use in the car.

The Ansmann VARIO Pro (Digi-Charger Vario Pro) is a small light weight and very versatile charger, ideal for anyone who has more than one style of battery to charge.
The adjustable contact pins can be moved to enable you to charge a huge range of Camera, Camcorder and Mobile Phone batteries, including many of the most obscure models. The addition of the AAA and AA charging capability makes it even more useful and the World-Wide capable power supply and In-Car lead make it an ideal travel charger.
The added USB Output that you get with this Pro version of the Vario allows you to charge an power your USB devices directly from the Vario Pro whilst it is connected to the mains, but even more useful is the ability for the ansmann Vario Pro to do this without being connected to the mains. Simply insert a charged Camera, camcorder or pair of AA batteries and these can be used to power or charge your USB device directly - Great feature!
The adjustable pins that make the Ansmann VARIO so versatile also make it a little more complicated to use as you have to align the contacts of the charger with those on your battery. Once you have done this for the first time, it is quite simple, but it does require a little thought when you first get it.

 Not as good as expected Build quality is much flimsier than expected from Ansmann and the USB output cannot charge my iTouch. It is also unable to charge my Panasonic camera battery though it does charge a Nikon camera battery ok.
 The 'all you need' travel charger. Looks and feels quality. Performance is excellent.Have tried a number of batteries to make sure it does what it says on the tin, and it does. Guarded contacts on a panasonic battery proved a slight challenge but it worked. Excellent service from Tantronics too. lan Randall
Brilliant piece of kit! I had the previous version of this and always thought a USB socket would make it perfect - I now have my wish! It charges all our camera batteries and now our phones on holiday. I save over half a kilo of weight and a huge amount of space compared to the charging kit I used to need. Great piece of kit. This is superb. It automatically detects 3.6/3.7V and 7.2/7.4V lithium batteries, and AA/AAA rechargeable Nimh batteries, and charges them all. It also has a USB out, which you can use at the same time as charging a battery, thus doing 2 jobs at once! Closest thing yet to a truly universal charger. Paul Miller Excellent product Arrived today, charged a Panasonic Li ion battery, two types of Nikon Li ion batteries, two Sony Li ion batteries and a pair of AA NiMH.
