It provides individual negative delta V (-dV) battery monitoring and charging and LED charge indicators for each battery position.

The Ansmann DigiSpeed 4 ULTRA is one of the fastest chargers you can buy and can FULLY charge the supplies 2700mAh AA batteries in a remarkable 40 minutes. This is just about as fast as you can charge AA batteries without significantly affecting their long term performance. Ansmann also do one of the best jobs in the business of managing this ultra fast charge system, by incorporating individual -dV (Voltage) and dT(Temperature) battery monitoring ensuring you get the best from the batteries.

In common with the slower Digispeed 4, the Ansmann DigiSpeed 4 Ultra also has a cooling fan to further protect the batteries from over-heating.

The only thing we would have liked is the ability to use the Ansmann DigiSpeed 4 ULTRA in the car, but there is always the original DigiSpeed 4 if you need this facility.
