The Ansmann Energy 4 is a professional quality plug in battery charger capable of charging 4 x AAA or AA batteries, and 2 PP3 batteries in various combinations. The Ansmann Energy 4 can be used throughout the world, as it has a switch mode power supply built in allowing it to operate from 100 - 240V AC at 50-60Hz, and comes complete with 4 interchangeable plugs for use in different power sockets.

The Ansmann Energy 4 provides individual negative delta V (-dV) battery monitoring and charging and LED charge indicators for each battery position, including the PP3.   Somewhat ok  My only disappointment was that it plugged into the wall upside down, you can still read the lights but i think design failure.   Peter Harman

  Charges a Trio!   My trusty Roberts radio uses 3 batteries, finally I have a charger that will look after my batteries and charge 3 at a time. Enjoying listening to Radio 4 in the bathroom again. Great!   

  Fabulous  The charger is great and exactly what i was looking for. Superb charger. The first charger sent to me did not work and I emailed Tantronic who issued a replacement immediately and paid for postage return. It was sorted so well and quickly I can only praise Tantronic and would recommend!   Julian

  There can't be a charger better than this  Delivery time was absolutely superb.The charger is everything, and more, than I expected. Does everything to keep your rechargeable batteries in tip top condition from checking,charging and refreshing either singly or in sets. Well pleased and so will you be   David Pearson

  Does what it says -well  Pity that it is "upside down" though not a practical problem . for me are the green/red lights in the same position are so small that I have to double check with my wife that I have got the right colour. Like many males I have a red/green problem so a design with different postions would be better   

  A great little package  This takes the guesswork out of managing batteries. The fully automatic conditioning and charging ensures that each battery receives exactly what it needs to remain in top condition. I used it to check some old batteries I was going to discard, and it has brought them back to life. Superb!   

  Restores cells the others dont touch  This charger has managed to put life back into some AA NiMH cells consigned to the recycle bin. It is reassuring to see it not fooled by a cell that has a high terminal voltage but no reserve of stored energy- it goes into refresh mode and restores aome working capacity.It is a great investment.   Ken

  A real quality product  I'm glad I spent some time reading around before making my purchase as this Ansmann charger has been fantastic. It's nice and compact but still retains many of the features you find in the more expensive models.
