Q: What is the maximum engine size my Ring RPP110 power pack will jump start?
The pack will jump start up to 2.5L petrol or 2L diesel engines. (guide only)
Q: My Ring RPP110 power pack is not jump starting the vehicle?
1) Check the power pack is fully charged.
2) Check the inverter is switched off & unplug any appliances.
3) Check the engine size is suited to the power pack.
4) If the vehicle battery is very low connect the DC cable to the power pack and the car DC socket (cigar plug) for 15 minutes. Then try jump starting the vehicle as normal.
Q: My Ring RPP110 power pack will not recharge?
1) Check all accessories are disconnected and the inverter is switched off.
2) If the power pack has not been recharged after each use over prolonged periods the battery may be damaged.
Q: There is an alarm sounding?
1) The low battery alarm sounds when the Ring RPP110 power pack needs recharging.
2) The polarity alarm sounds when the jump cables are connected incorrectly.
Q: Non of the functions on my power pack are working?
Check the 40amp blade fuse.
Q: Will charging the Ring RPP110 power pack after every use damage the batteries?
The charger provided with the power pack will not overcharge the batteries.
Q: Can the Ring RPP110 power pack be used as a 12v power source?
The booster cables can not be used as a power source due to the Anti Arc safety feature. 12v accessories can be plugged into the 12v DC output (cigarette sockets)
Q: Which lights should show when I press the Battery Level button, to indicate full charge?
Full charge is displayed when all 4 lights are on. Red, Amber, Green and Green should all show.
Q: When the DC to DC cable is connected will it fully charge the vehicle battery?
This will only equalise the batteries, so will raise the battery charge but only until there is 50% charge in each battery.
Q: The charging LED doesn't appear to be switching from Amber to Green to indicate full charge?
On some models the Amber charging LED does not change to Green. On these packs use the Battery Level button to check charge status. Red, Amber, Green & Green LED's indicate a full charge.
Q: How long does it take to fully charge the Ring RPP100 power pack?
From completely flat charge for 36 hours.
Q: Is the DC output centre positive?
Yes, all Ring products with a 12v DC socket or plug are centre positive.
