The Ring RSC512 SmartCharge+ 12 Battery Charge is an intelligent Lead Acid battery charger with a fully automatic 7 Stage charge process and is suitable for most 12V Lead Acid batteries including GEL, VRLA, Calcium and AGM. These batteries are typically used as Car Batteries, Caravan Batteries and Leisure Batteries, but can also be found in many other applications like lawn mowers and motorcycle batteries.

The wide charging current available with the RSC512 means you can charge a huge range of lead acid type batteries from relatively small 12Ah batteries all the way up to very large 300Ah lead acid batteries.

The selectable 2A, 4A, 8A and 12A charge rates ensure the optimum charge current for your battery whilst the automatic battery recondition mode helps to revive and improve the performance of deeply discharged batteries.

The Ring RSC512 Smart Battery Charge has an LED display that gives the Voltage, Charge Rate and battery status (as a %) and allows you to check the battery status without the need to connect it to the mains - ideal for a quick battery check.

This version of the Ring SmartCharge+ range of lead acid battery chargers also features a USB Charge Socket, this allows you to charge many USB type devices from MP3 players, to mobile phones and Sat Navs

Suggested for engine sizes up to 5L and battery capacities of between 12Ah and 300Ah

The Ring RSC512 uses high frequency switch mode technology safely charges batteries much faster than conventional chargers.
Selectable 2A, 4A, 8A or 12A charge rates allow for the optimal charge rate to be set.

Safe Charge
Connect and forget - The RSC512 SmartCharge+ can be left on continually without risk of damaging or overcharging your battery. Ideal for batteries used only intermittently.

Fully Automatic 7 Stage Smart Battery Charger

1. Desulphation
   Pulse charges to help the recovery of a sulphated battery.
2. Soft Start
   Sensitive charging for deeply discharged batteries.
3. Bulk
   Charges the battery at a constant current up to 80% of its capacity
4. Absorption
   Charges at a constant voltage with the current reducing until the battery reaches 100% capacity
5. Battery Analysis
   An automatic battery discharge test to analyse the battery status
6. Battery Recondition
   Following the absorption stage the RSC512 SmartCharge+ 12 conducts an automated discharge test. If further charging is required the battery recondition function is selected automatically. This can help revive a deeply discharged state.
7. Float
   Maintenance charging to ensure your battery is fully charged. when in this stage the battery can be left connected to the Ring RSC512 indefinitely.
