Unregulated output voltage with reducing charge current allows these Standard Lead Acid Chargers to charge batteries more quickly than a Float Battery Charger, but the uncontrolled charge voltage can overcharge the battery if left connected too long.
Don't leave this type of charger connected for extended periods, always disconnect when the battery is fully charged.
VRLA GEL & AGM batteries are particularly susceptible to the charge voltage so these chargers should not be used for this type of battery.
