This 12V 4A RMS (2.7A DC) Standard Battery Charger is a great low cost lead acid battery charger that's perfect for those on a tight budget.

It is reverse connection protected by a standard replaceable fuse.

NOTE:
This is a Standard Lead Acid Battery Charger that provides an unregulated output voltage with reducing charge current that allows it to charge batteries more quickly than a Float Battery Charger, but the uncontrolled charge voltage can overcharge the battery if left connected too long.

Don't leave this type of charger connected for extended periods, always disconnect when the battery is fully charged and always disconnect the battery from the car before charging.

VRLA GEL & AGM batteries are particularly susceptible to the charge voltage so this charger should not be used for this type of battery.
